Just my Opinion

Update to my Endometriosis – March 2023 is Endometriosis Awareness Month

Today was my ultra-sound to check the size of my mass or endometriosis on my left side of my uterus.

It has been 6 weeks since my Copperhead Snake Venom Treatment and I still feel fantastic, energetic, positive and pain-free!!!

My left side of my hip has never felt so good, flexible and the motion of mobility I haven’t seen in over 10 years. Every morning when I wake up I am pain-free. I can still feel the mass on my left side but it does not interfere with my daily life.

To describe what this mass is.

Back in September or October during my ultra-sound, my mass was the size of a Grapefruit and growing legs working into my hip bone.

As of today March 1, 2023, it is the size is of an Apricot with no legs growing into my hip bone!!!

So with Endometriosis Awareness Month you need to understand what this is all about. From the Mayo Clinic this is their comments.

Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial-like tissue may be found beyond the area where pelvic organs are located.

With endometriosis, the endometrial-like tissue acts as endometrial tissue would — it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. But because this tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. When endometriosis involves the ovaries, cysts called endometriomas may form. Surrounding tissue can become irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesions — bands of fibrous tissue that can cause pelvic tissues and organs to stick to each other.

Endometriosis can cause pain — sometimes severe — especially during menstrual periods.

I was so sick of the pain – it was keeping me from my daily routine and a healthy lifestyle.

Now if I keep up the healthy diet, no alcohol, limited sugars and processed food with regular exercise maybe by the Fall of 2023, the size might be even smaller. I may never have the mass gone but I can control its growth.

I owe a lot to diet, exercise, positive energy and last the Copperhead Snake Venom Treatment.
