I wanted to share with you the basics of Mushrooms so when you join me at a Seminar we can work on developing a plan for you and your Body with Micro-dosing Functional and /or Magical Mushrooms as the basics are the beginning to your personal journey for a Heathy Mind and Body.
Mushroom Education within the last few years for health has exploded.
The following information is combined as a guideline for you to find you Mushroom Journey for your personal Health.
Functional Mushrooms are edible mushrooms to help Heal the Body. Whereas Magic Mushrooms are about healing the Mind.
To understand what type of Mushrooms are best for your body is a personal journey of learning from others, journaling and trying different types.
These are Mushrooms that I currently create in Powder form that are Edible and can help you with various Body and Health Issues.
Lions Mane – can help with brain fog, memory issues, also helps with mild depression and anxiety.
Cordycep – can help with libido, increasing blood flow within the body for energy, endurance and stamina.
Turkey Tail – can help with below the belt cancers and is a high antioxidant to help the immune system.
Reishi – can help with mood, immortality and helps when recovering from stress.
Chaga – can help with inflammation and an immune supporter.
Ashwagandha – is not a mushroom but a root from Indian which grows well in Canada and it boosts brain function, blood sugar levels and works well with these mushroom combinations especially for women during hormonal changes including balancing Hot Flashes.
Functional Mushrooms for consuming I like to add the Fruiting-Bodies (dried and in powder form) in capsules or add to my morning coffee, smoothies, or any soups stews etc. The Fruiting Bodies is the Mushrooms you see above ground – whereas underground part of Mushrooms is called Mycelium which is like roots but not and they are important to all plant life, soil nutrition and the earth – which why I personally do not take the Mycelium as my personal belief is the Mycelium is needed for the earth – whereas the Fruiting body is what this wonderful plant gives to me to heal myself. But this is just my opinion.
Dosage for Adults start with a level Teaspoon – always start with less and slowly work your way to larger amounts – your body will tell you when too much is too much. When you have consumed too much Mushrooms you will notice stomach issues and heavier bowel movements. There is no right dosage and your body will speak to you – listen to your gut and your body.
When listening to your Body and Gut – I have always suggested to start a Journal of your Mushroom consumption journey whether it is Functional or Magical – there are no right dosage for you as each individual is different so by journaling your Mushrooms and experience you can follow up with yourself with what works and doesn’t work for you.

This Winter I will be researching Shiitake and Maitake Mushrooms in powder form for myself. It is a constant journey of trying new strains, different dosages and processes since our bodies are aging and changing therefore you need to constantly change your intake and methods – which is why I use the wording Journey when discussing Mushrooms.
