Mushrooms for Health!!!!

This post is about basic Mushrooms for health – not Magic Mushrooms.

Why I wanted to write about Mushrooms is because I have done so much personal research into which Mushrooms can help your body, mind and overall health.

I look cooking with Mushrooms from the cute Button Mushrooms we usually purchase in the grocery store to Portobello Mushroom for Burgers and Steaks.

Some of the information I have found about Mushrooms is their health benefits.

Mushrooms are considered in-between a meat and a vegetable. The one thing that drove me into researching about mushrooms as they are one of the only vegetable/meat that is not sprayed with harmful chemicals. Unfortunately our food chain uses so much chemicals within our meat and vegetables that the nutritional value of our food is very low. Without high nutrition in our food – we become sick!!!!

Mushrooms are the one food supply that is high in nutrition as the commercial food industry has not exploited mushrooms yet!!!!

Why are Mushrooms so healthy, they are a fungus – they feed on waste and shit!!! Mushrooms convert into a high standard of nutrition.

Mushrooms contains these vitamins

Vitamin B – the only vegetable that contains Vitamin B which we get from sunshine.

Riboflavin – Vitamin B2 – helps with the production of red blood cells for more energy.

Niacin – Vitamin B3 – helps with blood function and pressure

Pantothenic Acid – Vitamin B5 – helps with maintaining healthy skin

Selenium – has attracted attention because of its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants protect cells from damage caused by things like aging, lifestyle choices, and environmental conditions like pollution.

Ergothioneine – an amino acid

Copper – helps with iron – helps make more red blood cells.

Potassium – helps with blood pressure

Fibre – helps with bowel movements to be regular.

So with all these wonderful nutrition – more people need to explore mushrooms as a staple within your diet.

There are tons of different types of mushrooms which I will be writing about different types in a future Blog post and specially since I will be attending the Telluride Colorado Mushroom Festival in August 2024 for more education about mushrooms!!!!

Stay health and mushrooms can be fresh or dried – the properties remain strong for nutrition in either form. So start adding lots of Mushrooms to your diet!!!
