Just my Opinion

My Experience at 2024 Telluride Colorado Mushroom Festival

Before I start writing about my experience at the 44th Telluride Mushroom Festival – I cannot believe that to drive from Vancouver BC to Telluride Colorado was over 20 hour drive – WOW, long but this part of the USA is so beautiful. The drive was epic from the Forests around the Cascade Mountains near Seattle, the valleys of Washington State and Oregon, the the mining hills of Oregon into Idaho. Idaho is farming land with the crop duster airplanes and the rows of corn fields going into Utah. Utah is gorgeous with the Red hills then long flat drives at one moment I swear I was feeling the movie Forest Gump and when he ran through the valleys. Utah was very spiritual for me as returning I got caught up in a wind storm turning into a massive rain storm but I loved driving it so surreal how nature can turn on a dime. From Utah driving into the San Juan Mountains surrounding Telluride – which was breathtaking in those mountain passes. A drive I will always remember. But now about Telluride Mushroom Festival.

This is what I wrote in my journal about the two days I spent in Telluride.

This festival is amazing. Such good energy here with the people, the town and the land. I learnt alot about Mushroom Health during these seminars. I loved the talks about how Mushroom spores change with the environment as if Mushrooms and their energy can speak to us and help us on our journey whether it is for the mind journey with psychedelic mushrooms or the healing journey with Functional Mushrooms. Mushrooms need to be a part of our life to help create the balance in this world full of negative energy and plastic food.

One topic I loved was a story about Morels and if the stem is solid the Morel we know is different and the mushroom benefits will be different on the body. Therefore Mushroom DNA change based on the current environment and your surrounding areas and we will benefit from them based on what our body needs from the Mushrooms.

This one Vendor had Cordyceps and a Lion Mane Mix in a powder and offer a process of water as the filtration – which is interesting as I prefer the Fruit-Bodies which is defined as just the mushrooms dried and then grounded down into a powder and made into capsules. I prefer this method for maximum results on the body and that gives one a choice to add the mixture to teas, smoothies, soups, coffee and create the water filtration on one’s one journey. Also I prefer to add Ashwagandha to the Lions Mane and Cordyceps mixture to help Women regulate Sugar Levels in the body (ie control hot flashes and hormonal balances) when consuming Fruiting Body Mushrooms. But with the water process – I need to do more research on this process for Mushroom Extraction.

Throughout the Telluride Mushroom Festival I met amazing people, companies and what I loved best is the sharing of information from personal experiences.

Therefore I want to share more Blog experiences about my journey at the 44th Telluride Mushrooms Festival. So keep visiting my blog and reading my experiences to help develop your own Mushroom Experiences.
